Easy DIY Trangia Pot Stand
Просмотров 38 тыс.8 лет назад
Published on 03/05/2016: This is a tutorial on how to build an easy and effective pot stand for the Trangia stove. It may not be the best, but it could hold you over until your manufactured stand comes in. It might be my forever stand. We'll see. I don't take credit for its design. Facebook: whiteoak26Outdoors/

In this video, we will take a look at the Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0. I've had this holster for more than two weeks now and have developed some strong opinions of it. I realize that all opinions are subjective but my experiences may help you make a decision on your next purchase. I bought this holster with my own money and do not receive compensation. Love the build ❤
Silicone covers A Lot of Sins!
Nice job!
Love that! Beautiful build.
Really nice! I want one! It’s wonderful!😊
What’s the ground clearance on the trailer?
Thank you so much.
Fantastic !👍👍👍🇺🇸✌🏻🙏🏽😎
Mark - welcome back. What are the trees with the blue markings on them...trail markers?
I do hope you are okay and back to RUclips, Happy Holidays.
All that's left is to add a smart battery shunt in the DC Neg cable where it comes out of that battery box and you will have the Fuel gauge for the batteries! Awesome tool to help keep the batteries topped off.
REALLY NICE WORK!
QUESTION: HOW DOES YOUR DAUGHTER GET INTO & DOWN OFF THAT BED?
this is nreally nice
Can anyone offer advice on how a 2016 Volkwagen Passat AllTrack (Turbo Diesel Station Wagon) would handle a trailer this size?
Just found your channel. I’ll be back for more!! Cheers
Appreciate it Dave
I love the work you did on this trailer, very nice, well thought out. But, at 4:38 you show us the "Chester Drawers". For the love of God, please understand that it's "Chest of Drawers". Why is a dresser called chest of drawers? Of simple construction, the coffer is no more than a wooden box with simple joinery and a hinged lid. As a slight variation, the chest received its first drawer under the main compartment. As the concept and popularity grew, cabinetmakers added drawers, and the coffer became known as a chest of drawers.
LOL! Thank you Dave. I guess it’s a Southern thing. My Grandmother referred to it a “chester” 😂 for so long it became habit and it’s not even realized. Thanks for the comment. Cheers
@@WhiteOak26 Your polite response says a lot about your character, Sir. Thanks for being a good sport!
This is so cool to watch. What tarp size are you using?
Hi Dann! I’m using a OneTigris Bulwark 13’ x 10’. I prefer my Aquaquest but it’s 10 x 10 and a bit small for the storms that came through. Cheers!
Super! That is a easy and light stand!😊😊😊
I love it.
Awesome my brother
Nice Job.... I am in the process of converting an 8x16 v-nose cargo trailer into an RV and Mobile Sign Shop. I am just starting the walls and cabinets construction. I just sold a 15-passenger shuttle bus that I lived in for 3 years and traveled out west during the winters. I had to sell the shuttle bus because I purchased a large format color printer to make contour cut decals/stickers, koozies, t-shirts, magnetics, banners, mousepads, etc. The large format color printer would have taken up a lot of storage space so I needed to get something bigger. I did a complete conversion series on the shuttle bus from the ground up and now am doing a new series on the cargo trailer conversion. They are on my YT channel.
I would love to build out a bus. Been on the to do list for years now. Thanks for the feedback. Will check out your channel
@@WhiteOak26 thanks... I'm just getting to the good part of the cargo trailer conversion :)
For best results the base of the pot needs to be 1inch to 1.5inches from the top of the stove - see palio hiker for his exhaustive testing of this gap.
That's awesome man...
A great idea and an elegant chicken house !!
@@alialkatheeri2390 hes busy with animals now 😀

What was the actual size of this trailer, and why did you opt to sell it?
Hey JB, apologies for the delayed response. It was a 7x16. Had some life changes come up. I’m really interested in building another. I will definitely be insulating the floor better and installing a permanent grey water tank.
@@WhiteOak26 No worries! Life happens! Curious...you mentioned insulating the floor. Do you recommend doing this in FL? Can't remember if your video mentioned what area you're in. Debating this for my future build. I also realized after watching this video again that I skipped the size completely and fast-forwarded straight to the rear solar components of the trailer.
That's awesome! light and works well enough and can be made in 10 minutes! could do a design where you have 4 legs (easier than 3) that stab into the ground around you trangia, and that hold your pot up. If you're going light then make it fit around the burner, if you dont mind 10 more grams them make it sort of cup your pot of choice, and you can make it as tall as you'd like. It takes more strength and bending because you'll need to make sort of an X with two coat hanger wires for the pot to sit on, and then bend the legs downward from there.
Nice build! Congrats!!
White is cooler....get some decals!
Really fantastic job.
Awesome job man. If you decide to lock your cabinets up, look for boat hardware. They make amazing simple inexpensive locks.
Your loud music stops me! Hate your channel!
Just the Video I was looking for. Great job. Do they make a Converter-Inverter combo?
Great video. Simple, short and easy to understand! This is exactly what I want to do to a Overland Trailer. Do you have solar hook up? That would be a nice video to add to your list. Did you have a Battery hooked up?
Very nice layout and it looks like good quality work. Well done!
I bet that shower makes you nice and sleepy
Really nice job!
What about repairability? If that China plastic breaks?
Hi Big C, I’ve since moved on to a gransfors bruks small forest axe and definitely believe that it’s a better choice. I have to give credit to the Scaxe though because it’s held up till now with heavy use. I still use it for splitting wood for the smoker but i definitely prefer the small forest axe. Thank you for the comment Sir, Best wishes!
I really like this cargo trailer. I wouldn't change a thing
Great job!!
Just finished making mine and must say thanks for posting as it is a great little addition
My pleasure! More to come
Good use of space, really well built. Great job.
Thank you Kim!
What a clever, thoughtful, and innovative build. Congratulations to you!
Thank you!
Wow he did a very good job.
Thank you!
Too wigle waggly imo. I make pot stands from construction flag wire and pieces of either copper tubing I scrounge from the job site or brake line that I have a god bit of. They are foldable and very sturdy, even on rocky or uneven ground.
Thank Richard! it was definitely wiggly but it got me by for a while until could replace it. i’ve been pairing it up with the firebox nano now. Thanks for the comment and time
Very nice! Do you have a table to eat on?
Thanks Peter! The bed would convert into a couch and we used wooden TV trays to eat on. Most of the time we eat outside.
This cargo conversion is awesome! This guy is awesome! I'm so impressed that he did all the work himself. Very nice conversion.
Thank you JJ!
Any chance I could hire you to build out another?
Thanks! I would love to build another but i’m not able to at the moment.
fantastic
Thank you! Cheers!
I Give you a A plus!!!
Very well done.
